Balsam Fir
Abies balsamea
Balsam fir is the scent of an Eastern Ontario Christmas. Its soft, flat needles hold their colour and fragrance, and its narrow, symmetrical shape makes it a natural choice for Christmas trees, small evergreen screens and woodland plantings. Upright purple cones sit on the top branches in summer.
