Guarantee, delivery & terms
What we stand behind, what delivery costs, and how reserving trees works.
The guarantee
Trees and shrubs planted by our crew are guaranteed for one full year from the planting date. If a tree fails in that year despite reasonable care, we replace it once with the same species and size, including planting, at no charge.
Trees and shrubs you pick up and plant yourself are guaranteed to leave the farm healthy, correctly labelled and true to the size you ordered. Because we can't control how they're planted or watered, there's no replacement guarantee on customer-planted stock. That said, if something looks off in the first 30 days, call us and we'll come take a look.
What "reasonable care" means
- Watered as set out on our care sheet: deeply, once or twice a week through the first two growing seasons, more in heat
- Mulch ring kept in place and off the trunk
- Protected from mowers, trimmers, livestock, deer and rodents
- No fertilizer, herbicide or weed-and-feed within the mulch ring in year one
What the guarantee doesn't cover
- Drought stress where watering wasn't kept up, or flooding, ice storms, wind damage and other weather events
- Animal browse and rodent girdling where guards weren't used
- Damage from construction, grading, vehicles, equipment or chemicals
- Trees moved, pruned hard or planted somewhere other than where we set them
- Landscape materials (soil, mulch, stone), which are sold as-is by the yard
One replacement per tree, and the replacement isn't guaranteed again. To make a claim, send a photo and tell us when it was planted. Usually we'll just drive out.
Delivery
We deliver anywhere in Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. The price depends on how far you are from the farm and how much is going on the truck, and it's on your quote before you commit to anything. Trees and materials go out together in one trip.

Picking up is free. Bring a truck or trailer and call ahead so it's loaded when you get here.
Reserving trees
- Send your request list. We reply within one to two business days with availability and a written quote.
- A 25% deposit holds your trees. Field-dug stock gets tagged in the row with your name on it. Potted stock is set aside.
- Balance on pickup or delivery. E-transfer, cash or card. Prices are plus HST.
- Changing your mind: deposits are refundable up to 14 days before your pickup or planting date, and transferable to other stock any time.
Field-dug vs. potted
Field-dug trees (wire basket or burlap) are dug in the dormant windows, roughly late April to mid-June and mid-September to late October, so a spring reservation may be dug and delivered a few weeks after you order. Potted trees can go home any time the farm is open.
Planting dates go in the order deposits come in. We'll give you a target week, then a day once it's close. Rain can push things a day or two.
